Everything Is Collective is an experimental art collective whose work addresses photography, subjectivity, and power. The group works collaboratively and across mediums and disciplines.

The collective’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including exhibitions at Aperture Foundation (NYC), Royal Nonesuch Gallery (Oakland), Filter Space (Chicago), Nextart Gallery (Gothenberg, Sweden), SF Center for the Book (San Francisco), Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (Salt Lake City, UT), and the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington (Arlington, VA). Publications by the collective have been acquired by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the School of the Art Institue of Chicago (SAIC), among others.

DELIBERATE OPERATIONS 4, [No Analog State]
Publication, 2018

DELIBERATE OPERATIONS reflects the EIC’s view of how it conducts considered and sustained operations in space and sets the foundation for developing other fundamentals, tactics, techniques, and procedures. These operations are designed and/or spontaneously realized to reveal or conceal certain features of the environment.

The most remarkable aspect of the terrain and tactics covered in this volume is their ever-changing and unpredictable nature. The challenges you will encounter here are entirely new and of their time, and any tendency to look for solutions in historical referents or established strategies should be avoided. Choose instead to see each scenario as a possible future. Reject the idea that we have become bored of being human. Divest from individuality. Forget progress. Demonstrate the weakness of your machines and leave the present in elegant ruin. Find answers in the least likely places. Contemplate the beginning of your geological era, anticipate its end, and decide whether this strata will slowly taper into a much more distant future or stop abruptly. The following pages address the possibilities and pitfalls of life in a No- Analog State.

For these records to mean anything, they must come alive in classrooms, homes, workplaces, public spaces and daily practice. Learn from them, adhere to them, and continue to help us adapt them to the complex and competitive environments in which we operate.

Victory starts here.
